Job Description:

I'm recruiting 1-2 PhD students to join my group at the University of Utah for a start date in Fall 2027. Tuition, stipend, and health insurance support will be provided. My research group focuses on applying modern machine learning methods to policy-relevant problems in air quality/climate/weather. We are especially interested in multimodal ML for wildfire smoke and the potential for AI foundation models to improve ozone, aerosol, and dust projections.
