POSITION OVERVIEW The Air Quality Specialist in the Technology Advancement Office (TAO) plays a critical role in advancing and implementing innovative clean air technologies aimed at reducing emissions from mobile sources. This position focuses on supporting technology demonstration, commercialization, and early deployment efforts for zero- and near-zero emission technologies across multiple sectors. The incumbent will manage and evaluate complex projects, provide technical expertise, and collaborate with government agencies, private industry, and community stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of clean fuel technologies. This role requires strong analytical skills, project management experience, and the ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences while supporting South Coast AQMD's mission to achieve federal and state air quality standards. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, planning, or the physical, social, or biological sciences, depending upon the functions of the assigned unit. EXPERIENCE: Two years of technical air quality or professional analytical experience that would demonstrate the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position to which assigned.
