Carnegie Mellon University's department of Mechanical Engineering is searching for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing support on several exciting projects in the Center for Atmospheric Particle Studies (CAPS). In this role, you will quantify spatial patterns of toxic air pollutants using a mobile laboratory equipped with advanced mass spectrometers. Other potential projects include leveraging satellite remote sensing data and ground sampling to quantify black carbon spatial patterns, and quantification of emissions from electric vehicle fires and other tasks that may be assigned to you.
