Aerosol Science & Technology Journal Seeks New Editor-in-Chief
Extended Deadline for Submissions: JUNE 1, 2001
The American Association for Aerosol Research is conducting a search for an Editor-in-Chief for its journal, Aerosol Science and Technology. The term of initial appointment is five years with additional term(s) of three years. The journal is a monthly publication. It is published by Taylor and Francis, and normally publishes 150 manuscripts per year. The responsibilities of the Editor-in-Chief are described in the "Guiding Policies and Procedures" in the AAAR Membership Directory and can also be found on the web at http://www.aaar.org/bylawspp.htm. Financial support of typically $25,000 per year is available for the office. Applications, nominations, and suggestions must be submitted by June 1, 2001. Nominations and suggestions will be reviewed by the Publications Committee, and applications requested where appropriate. On July 1, 2001, the finalists will be asked to submit a written proposal stating their vision for the journal, proposed structure for the editorial office, budget, and institutional support. The written proposal must be submitted by September 1, 2001. Interviews will be conducted by the Publications Committee on October 15, 2001 at the AAAR meeting in Portland, Oregon. The final selection will be made at the 2002 Winter AAAR Board Meeting and the Editor-in-Chief will begin January 1, 2003.
